A cosy, friendly local pub. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We had a really good roast beef lunch at a very good price. Nice comfortable seating areas and lots of outside space to sit and relax. Would definitely recommend eating here.

I really do not want to leave a review about this place because it is perfect In every way and once I do I won’t be able to stay again as all rooms will be booked out
So let’s start beds are comfy shower works for a start and good pressure we get a breakfast which you do yourself bread or toast with coffee and jams
The BONUS is you get an evening meal done by the lovely Sarah and Dolares who all care about this place but a big shout out to Sarah for looking after my son and my idiot sales Director Nick who had a bad thumb
We have booked again as in the area and also have parking for free which is got security cameras
Thanks all we all love this place and hope it never ends all the best

So I booked this knowing it may not be the best but it was half the price of the other hotels in the area... well a gamble that I soon regretted.||The bar area and surround gardens are actually quite good as lots to do, and the staff were very friendly, but it’s very much a local mans pub with contractors obviously staying regular.||My issue was when I got to my room.. there was a strange damp smell as soon as you opened the bathroom door. Beds were clean but really had no support left in them. Bed side light didn’t work, shade wasn’t even fitted just sat over top.||I may have given a more favourable review if I didn’t need to use the bathroom as that’s where it all went wrong for me the next morning. ||So let’s ignore the fact the curtain didn’t actually fit the window and people could stared at me sleeping if they went out to gardens (smoking area right outside my window).||After the rubbish curtains not stopping any light and me being awake at 5am.. when I did brave it and go for a shower I needed to jump out again after about 60 secs as the shower tray had filled up and was over flowing... the radiator was falling off the wall... the WC was filthy... the smell was disgusting... even after all this I was thinking I will ask for another room.||Nope that’s not possible as there is no one on site, tried calling the land line but no reply.. so after a horrible sleep.. and not being able to get showered and washed properly... I packed my bag and left the key in the door..||If that sound like fun... book away.

The women in the blonde short hair at the bar, I think the co-owner of the pub, gives uneasy feelings. She gives big death glares and seems very rude. But otherwise the atmosphere is really nice and love that you can play pool there. As thats the reason why i usually go there.
