Bed was comfortable, food and service was great. Breakfast was very nice!! I love a hot, fresh cooked breakfast. Perfect poached eggs. I think it is overpriced for the value. For the price breakfast should be included or discount on food at the pub should be offered.

What a lovely place. We were made to feel really welcome. All the staff were helpful.. Room was clean and tidy. And quite big. Even our dogs felt spoilt. The breakfast was really nice.|We ate at the restaurant all 3 nights. My wife absolutely loved the pea and mint risotto. Again, The dogs were spoilt|

The Old Talbot is perfectly located for a visit to Worcester, being in the centre close to the Cathedral and the older part of town as well as the main attractions. |The staff were welcoming and very helpful , despite it being one of their busiest weekends with the Christmas Market in the surrounding streets. Lorna , the manager ensured we got a table for the evening meal, as everywhere else would have been very busy too. The meal was delicious , and portions generous, as was the included breakfast with plenty of choice. |The room was comfortable and , although the bathroom was a little tired in decor, it was perfectly ok. The hotel is a very old building, full of character, which we loved. |All the staff were exemplary in their service - thanks to all. I recommend this place for visitors to the city who don’t want to have to do more than step out of the doors to be in the heart of things .

Me and my partner stayed here Xmas Eve and Xmas night. The room was clean and comfortable. Great facilities including iron and ironing board and a hairdryer in the room. There was no breakfast available on Christmas Day morning, quite understandably, but the hotel automatically provided extra coffees, teas. Great shower. No complaints at all and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The decor could do with a refresh and rooms appear to be stair access only so check with reception when booking about whether there's lift access to rooms. Overall this hotel is great value for money, central location, staff looked after us. I'd definitely stay here again.

Pub...good. Accommodation...awful. |We stayed for one night only (thank goodness) for a concert at the cathedral. The reason for booking this hotel was its proximity to said cathedral. I can't fault the staff, they were very friendly and helpful, the pub grub was very good as was the service BUT...the accommodation left a lot to be desired. The only good thing I can say about it was that the room was clean but oh so shabby. Our room (number 6) was small, poky and full of furniture which to be honest should be thrown into a skip. The bed was too soft, so much so that we kept rolling into the middle. The pillows were like sleeping on a brick, and how we slept God only knows with the traffic noise in the street. We had to open the windows for a while just so we could breath as the room was so warm (bearing in mind we wore three layers when outside, it being January) but slept on top of the bed all night due to the fact that we had to eventually (and reluctantly close the window, due to said noise) just so we could attempt to get some sleep. |The breakfast was decent (except we weren't offered toast) but I get the feeling that there weren't many other people staying, given that there were only three of us eating breakfast. The whole accommodation area needs complete refurbishment. The furniture all needs replacing as does the threadbare carpets. The whole place had an aura of neglect (not from the staff who I'm sure are working hard to keep it going) but the owners Greene King Inns really need to pay it some attention. We will most certainly never stay here again.

A lovely place for a spot of lunch in the centre of town. We were a large party of 20 and all our meals came out at the same time and were piping hot. |Delicious fish and chips! Great sized portions and super value for food and drinks. . |All the staff were really helpful and friendly-definitely recommend!

Good night's sleep, rooms were comfortable and clean, would use again when in the area , very central location and friendly service. The building is very old in character but that's the charm of staying in a coaching inn. My floor was up and down at the same time wonderful 😊

My mate and were invited to a 50th in Worcester, so I booked two single rooms. We had lunch in the restaurant, very good indeed. After the party we had a few snifters in the bar - very cosy. The rooms were pleasant, clean and - considering we were bang in the city centre - very quiet. The full English next morning was top drawer. Throughout our stay Lorna, the Manager, and her team were friendly, professional - nothing was too much trouble - a credit to Greene King. We both decided we should return to Worcester, a fabulous city. We will be staying at YOTH.
