We were visiting locally and wanted somewhere to stay nearby. We read the reviews and decided that Yew Tree House was right for us. As we were visiting locally we were not entirely sure of our plans. Lynne welcomed us early on Saturday morning so that we could get the key and then come and go as we wanted. The house is really beautiful full of interesting items, reflecting a full and interesting life. The room was lovely, really quaint with quality bedding and little things to make your stay nice. The bath was enormous and there was plenty of hot water. It also had a powerful shower. We slept well, with the quiet outdoors and the big starry skies and were had a hearty breakfast of our choosing the next morning. Lynne was so kind and we felt like we were staying at our favourite Auntie's house. If you are looking for sleek and modern this isn't for you, but if you are looking for a slice of history, unique, clean, warm, cosy and welcoming, you will like it here. We would definitely stay again.

This bed and breakfast is a dream place to stay at. The house is so full of charm and very comfortable. Lynne made me feel very welcome and although my stay was only for one night, is was like home from home. The breakfast was fantastic with a variety of items. ||The only comment I would suggest which could make finding the property easier, would be to place a directional sign at the sharp bend at the top of the lane as GPS takes you to a different location.||I look forward to being able to stay there again one day.

What a lovely enchanting place to stay, normally does not have weekend quest but my better half left a grovelling, sweet message and persuaded Lynne to let myself, my better half and my mum stay for the night as we were attending a surprise birthday party. Was greeted warmly by Lynne and her dog Daisy, who, if you didn't mind kept you company for breakfast 😉 You entered the house via the main door and had an instant feeling about the house and was greeted with history, creaky wooden floors/stairs etc. All the rooms were warm and tidy, bedding was fresh and clean. We had to share the bathroom, which added to the stay, an amazing deep bath, lovely!!!!||The breakfast was set for what ever time you wanted and freshly cooked and you had a choice of what you wanted. ||There was no pressure on you and you could come and go when you wanted, obviously with respect to Lynne. ||If you want somewhere to stay that's quirky, old and interesting, warm welcoming and makes you want to stay longer, then come to here, you'll love it, will definately be arranging another visit in the future, Thank you Lynne and Daisy.

Lynne kindly opened the house at the weekend, for a local family wedding (200 yds away !)||Lovely welcome from Lynne & Daisy the dog. ||House retains it's old demeanor, but very comfortable rooms. ||Breakfast to die for, what you want & when you want it (within reason !)||Would definitely recommend - and I got 2 huge bags of superb cooking apples from the trees in the garden !

In need of a last minute stay due to work, this place was recommended by another B&B owner.||I called with less than 24hours notice and Lynne managed to squeeze me in to the last room available on the top floor, in this lovely attic room - fresh flowers, fresh milk and the heating on - bliss! ||There was even the offer of a glass of wine, as I was late arriving after a 3 hour drive.||||The room was lovely, esp the big squishy duvet, just what I needed for the night - nice neat room, with an en-suite shower room, low ceiling, so watch your head!||||Breakfast was when required, all laid out nicely in the front room of the house, cooked, cereal, fruit - you name it, it was there.||I had a little nosy round the rest of the house, was spectacular, fantastic wooden stair case and furniture to die for - the kitchen was immense - going the full length across the back of the house.||The gardens looked gorgeous in the early morning sunlight and it was a shame I didn't get to see much of them.||||Daisy sits on the doorstep eagerly awaiting your arrival and sad at your departure, but she is only allowed in the main house at your request.||||Couldn't fault this stay and will be back for my next meeting.||||Thanks Lynne, you were a star!

I have just returned from a 5 night stay at the Yew Tree House B&B following a referral from a fellow B&B owner in the area.||||The owner, Lynne, is a lovely lady and extended the kind of welcome that typifies the best of British B&B's. ||||The building has remained genuine to it's rather old roots and the interior is full of interesting items that catch your eye and make for a pleasant change from the sterile interior of the modern hotels that many traveling professionals will be used to.||||Given the age of the building (circa 250 years old) you should expect more traditional fixtures and fittings, i.e. don't expect a ultra-modern city boutique; not a negative point just worth noting should this be a prerequisite for you.||||The room remained spotless, despite my daily mess, and the breakfast was perfectly cooked and ready at the precise time requested, making traveling for work a doddle in the mornings.||||All-in-all, a very friendly place to stay and one I would certainly like to revisit especially in the warmer, lighter months so I could enjoy the gardens and surrounding area following a day at work.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful cosy farm house. Lynne was so welcoming and helpful....even dropped off a key for me at the place I was during the day so I could get back in as she was going out! Fantastic breakfast too. Would thoroughly recommend the place.

I had a one night stay recently at this beautiful house. The welcome is warm, the room was spacious & very comfortable. I had a full English breakfast in the morning which was delicious & one of the best I've had at any B&B or hotel.
