What a great YHA - the location is the best ever. Youlgreave has lovely walks and such a beautiful historical rural village. The views and walks by the river are stunning. The rooms themselves are very clean and super functional. The highlight is the wonderful cafe with freshly baked bread and great food - open Wednesday to Sunday till 2pm. I’m definitely going again and taking friends and family too.

A warm welcome from the wonderful team at YHA Youlgreave and Fountain Bakery. Delicious breakfast - exquisite French toast & creamy porridge - we awoke in the morning to a beautiful view and the smell of freshly baked bread. Would highly recommend. We can’t wait to book a return visit. Thank you Colin, Matthew, Ellie & Aksana

Very welcoming staff. Immaculately clean and in excellent decorative condition. No cooked breakfast available on weekdays but granola and toast alternative was very good. Interesting building in lovely village. Bulls Head and Farmyard Inn provided great food and drink until late.

We stopped for one night and were made welcome on arrival. The room was basic but en-suite, with a first class bathroom/shower and there were great views over the local countryside.|The hostel has been extensively refurbished by the new owner and is clean and bright. The self-catering facilities were excellent and the breakfast in the bakery cafe on site was good. The hostel manager and her team were kept very busy - clearly a popular place for breakfast on a Sunday morning.

Such a great hostel ran by Colin, would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay away for personal trips as well as business retreats. I'll defiantly be back for both! On this account I'd stayed with my colleagues from work, for a work retreat and from start to finish the hospitality that we received from Colin and the team was 100% and beyond! We were all very grateful and know we'll be back again next year.
15 of us stayed at the hostel, we practically had the rooms to ourselves which was great, all very modern and recently renovated. In the heart of the Peak District a short walk from many trails and a river. It's a bonus that Fountain View Bakery is part of the hostel where we had all our meals which was brilliant, lovely meals provided on all accounts, catering for all our dietary requirements.
Thank you to Matthew and the team for looking after us with our food options. The pizzas were 10/10!

Colin and Matthew you've been absolutely stars and we look forward to staying with you again soon! I would highly recommend! Everything was 10/10!

Friendly welcome and spotless accommodation, with new ensuite bathrooms. Lovely lounge with bookshop included which made for a relaxing browse in the evening! Pubs nearby with good food., wonderful walks on the doorstep. Breakfast was served in the attached bakery...which did not open until 0900. Nice food and coffee...keen walkers could be offered an earlier breakfast please in future as early starts are better when on the trails!

Popped in for some food and was greeted by a lovely lady who couldn't have been more helpful. She kindly made us sandwiches even though they weren't on the menu as she could see we were struggling with our baby. The bread and cakes were just INCREDIBLE we decided to take more home! Thank you so much

. . . we received a warm welcome in a beautiful space. We wanted refreshments before setting out on a 10 mile walk. Dog friendly which is always a bonus. I enjoyed a slice of quiche with my coffee. Bright and clean with excellent facilities. We even left with a book each as there is a second hand book shelf.
