Couldn’t fault this boutique hotel. Hosts were very friendly. Excellent key card security system for front and inner door. A plus in today’s world. |Our room was spacious, very clean throughout and comfortable. A big bonus was the fridge and microwave in the room. |Breakfast was plentiful and a great selection. Something for everyone. |There is a vending machine in the lounge/hall is you require a chocolate or midnight munchie fix. |The only small downside is the hotel has limited parking, however thats down to the corner position of the hotel and there is plenty of parking nearby. |Another bonus was breakfast was available early on the Sunday morning for anyone completing or spectating at the Great North Run.|The hotel is also a 5-10 minute walk from all amenities. |||Next years booking already made

Booked this accommodation because of close location to the playhouse, but one of the best places we've stayed in for a long time. Very friendly and helpful owner, he couldnt do enough for us.|Fantastic room and everything of the highest quality and well thought out. Even free homemade biscuits in the reception if you have a bit of the midnight munchies, and a late night vending machine if you want something a but stronger. (Could do with contactless though 😉)|Lovely breakfast in the morning, and even though we checked out at 10:30, we were allowed to leave the car outside the hotel until the afternoon so we could see a bit more of whitley bay before heading home.|Would highly recommend and will be booking again next time we are in whitley bay.|

Stayed in one of the signature room, it was a good size and very comfortable, rain shower was excellent and the Prosecco and chocolates were a nice touch. The breakfast was amazing and Michael the host very welcoming, informative and helpful. Also the hotel is in a great location, short walk to the seafront and town centre.

Hotel was very clean with fresh mordern decor,parking out side hotel for a few cars, but there is a large carpark(free till 10 am)across the road. Room clean and very spacious, breakfast was good with plenty of options.The host (Micheal)was attentive and very help. Shall be staying again. Thankyou

Absolutely perfect. Big comfortable rooms, exceptional hosts and great breakfast.

The furniture, cleanliness, beds and decor are all incredibly high standard and I couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

Lovely room with fridge, microwave, sparkling wine, chocolates, dressing gowns. Also a wonderful and friendly host, excellent breakfast, really good location plus some free parking available. Would recommend York House without hesitation.|To be honest, however, despite giving 5 stars, a more accurate rating would be 4.5 if that was possible. Niggly things, and nothing that would justify Michael of York House losing a star. |My main quibble would be no daily room cleaning despite paying almost £160 per night for the room. I would say that this is a very high quality guest house, as opposed to a hotel. To be fair, I did find this in their terms and conditions, which I should have read before travelling.

What a wonderful gem. The host was exceptional. The room very clean, large with beautiful bedding.

I had a very good nights sleep and the breakfast is first class.

I stayed to attend an event in Spanish City, which is a very short walk away as is the beach.

Couldn’t recommend it enough.

Stayed here for one night in a double room. Was sparkling clean and looked like brand new bathroom and carpets. Service was excellent and breakfast service was delicious and accommodating for allergies. Location in Whitley bay is excellent
