It is an ensuite room in student halls, not an actual hotel, but is perfect for a few nights.
Room is spacious and very clean but very basic, there was no tea or coffee but there was a box of sample cookies and gin which was nice. Staff is very friendly.
The only issues I ran into was that there was 1 full size towel when the room was booked for 2 guests.
Other than that I would recommend this place if you need a place for 1-2 people for a few nights.

3.5 Stars. It is student accommodation which is being used as hotel accommodation. The room is a decent size, clean, but it is very basic. No tea/coffee/TV facility in the room. Ample storage space (if you are a student), but as a hotel resident, you probably would not want to unpack and spend more than 2 nights. We were delayed because the promised towels arrived very late.

Not really your typical hotel. For the price though you really can't grumble. 3 nights in colchester for 116 pounds is an absolute bargain. Don't expect a TV though as the rooms don't provide one. Not a necessity with phones having everything we need though.

Great location and a great price. Only available to book as a hotel when the university is closed for summer. The shower wasn't 100% clean I had to clean it myself before use. Staff at the desk were very helpful! There is no parking here

If your flight has been delayed and you arrive after 10pm you can sleep on the street as nobody will pick up the phone and reply to your emails. Never experienced such a poor service in my life.

Top location and lovely people. Added extras were the freebie gin and the massive bike space so I could park my bike and sleep easy at night. Would have put six stars if I could.
