Lynne welcomed us in to her home with home-made biscuits, a birthday card and a warm smile. The room was spacious and welcoming and the view was delightful. This is a fabulous hub from which to explore the area. The breakfast is locally sourced and accompanied with home-made bread and preserves. It is a cottage with 400 years of history and Lynne is happy to share the knowledge she has about it with you. A fantastic host and a unique property. Highly recommended. πŸ’•

We spent three nights in the delightful spacious Green Room with its lovely exposed timber beams and enjoyed watching the geese on the Village Green. Lynne and Michael were very attentive hosts and made us extremely welcome. We enjoyed an evening drink in the pretty garden before relaxing in the very comfortable lounge. There was a very extensive breakfast menu with lots of local and homemade produce.||We were not familiar with the area but Lynne gave us a great deal of information to enable us to enjoy to the full Bury and Lavenham, with their wealth of medieval buildings and shops and cafes.||We would love to make a return trip.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Lynne is a great host who loves helping you enjoy your stay in the area with her local knowledge and easy manor. The room I stayed in was stunning with the original beams exposed in a very well done loft conversion. The breakfast was outstanding and the location on a lovely village green is beautiful. The rest of the house it very comfortable and you are free to enjoy the living areas and the garden. If you're travelling from abroad this place is everything you could imagine rural England to be.

What a splendid little home (I say little to emphasise how quaint it is but actually its 100% not small)! I had the pleasure of staying at Well Cottage in late Summer and though it did rain a little, I think it was still a very good time of year to visit. Whenever I go away, what makes a trip for me is when the place I am staying affords me all my creature comforts (ie a home away from home), and breakfast. Lynne pretty much nailed it in both those departments. Super hospitable, solid tea and biscuit arrangement, and bedding so crazy comfy you really could only be lured out by the homemade bread AND jams at breakfast. If you think you don't need jam in your life, then you best get yourself booked in because you are wrong, son. ||If you're more of a history is more your flavour than preserved fruit spreads, Lynne's still got you covered, as a very knowledgable host, she can point you to a number of the surrounding historical landmarks.||And if you stiLL aren't sold, well there's an absolutely darling country pub around the corner and also geese out the front door. ||All in all, Well Cottage provides an authentic countryside experience which, for me, even though I was miles away from home, felt right at home. We hope to be back soon :>

Lynne is a friendly, charming hostess providing her guests with relaxation and comfort in her lovely period home. At breakfast, one is spoilt for choice with the good quality, locally produced ingredients for the 'Full English' or any combination you choose. She also provides a good choice of cereals and muesli, fresh, seasonal fruit, yoghurt along with home made bread and preserves.

Well Cottage is a lovely old house overlooking the village green at Beyton. The rooms are very comfortable and immaculately clean, as was the whole house and Lynne provided us with an excellent breakfast.
We wanted to explore as much as possible and Lynne was able to offer some helpful tips and advice regarding the local area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again.

Lynne was once again incredibly hospitable, dinner was prepared for my arrival and breakfasts were lovingly handmade.||||She went to the trouble of drawing me a candlelit bubblebath which was the best thing I have experienced all year! See Pic attached.||||Cannot recommend this tranquil getaway enough, truly a lovely, considered hosting experience <3
