The room was clean and welcoming and the bed super comfy. No air con but the window opened and there was a fan. Took a while for the hot water to come through but when it did a good strong hot shower.||As it was a city centre hotel it was quite noisy late at night outside but that is no fault of the hotel.||A short walk down Milson Street 2nd left out of the hotel into the city centre.||Overall a good stay and I would recommend ||

We stayed here the night before our wedding and rate it very highly. Our room (a family room) was at the back on the first floor and it was spacious, quiet and very clean. ||||The staff helped us out with many things and check in/out was easy. ||||Location is brilliant for a city centre break with restaurants and shops literally outside the door. ||||We will definitely go back!

The dirtiest hotel we have EVER stayed in, on arrival we was sent to room 103, getting in the lift it was bouncing and did not feel safe. Entered room 103 only to find the previous occupants excrement in the toilet still - welcome to Travel Lodge Bath! So i walked down the stairs after the lift felt unsafe to report this to reception! Wow the stair case has not been cleaned for at least 6 months! Blue carpet littered with bits of dirt, and not been hoovered for a long time, the smell of rubbish bins even though the windows were closed, and the white wood at the end of the carpets was not just grey and dusty but black and dusty, you could have written your name in it with your finger. So we moved to room 109 again a room that had not been hoovered bits everywhere on the carpet, the curtain hanging off the rail and a bath with no plug and a plug hole full of hair. Down to reception we went again to the reception your ex manager was on duty and he said no problem and pulled out an old plug, took it back up and it did not fit the plug hole. Up he came to the room and he saw the plug hole and he even said it was appalling. ||||That was the rooms, then on Friday night, we was walking through reception when the fire alarm went off. The poor lad Shane was running the hotel on his own, surely not adequate for 1 member of team to run a hotel that size. Shane clearly lacked training, he was frantic on his phone for help to management, 2 hours later the fire alarms were still going - kids were asleep in the car park on the floor, others left for the pub, poor Shane had no support and moved everyone after 20 minutes from the front of the hotel through to the back court yard of the hotel, straight through the middle of a building that could of been on fire! Total lack of training - this is people's lives you are playing with.||||We was working on business for 4 days, needless to say on Sunday and Monday we chose Premier Inn where we did get a good nights sleep!

I had an absolutely horrible experience during my 2-night stay. As soon as I opened the door, I was hit with a strong, unpleasant smell—like moisture mixed with something worse. I had to open the window immediately, but even then, the smell lingered throughout the stay.

The room was clearly not cleaned properly. I found human hairs all over the place—on the floor, the bed, inside the bathtub, and most disturbingly, inside the shower. The shower gel looked like it had a bloody color, which was very unsettling.

The pillow and bedsheets looked yellow and unwashed. After sleeping there, I developed itchy red spots on my scalp that have lasted for four days now. I hope they go away soon.

I used to think Travelodge offered decent quality for a good price, especially for short trips. But after this experience, I will never choose Travelodge again—especially the one at Bath Central.

I booked this hotel as it allowed late cancellation. Averaging £100 a night it isn't cheap but is less than other Bath hotels. The room was basic and clean, with freshly laundered sheets and towels. However, it would be much improved if the toilets were given timescale treatment and the carpets vacuumed with a better machine not a little stick one that I saw with the cleaning equipment. It was off-putting to come back to the hotel to find the staff member having a fag outside the door. Credit should be given to the chap on duty on Friday 30th May when the fire alarm went off. He did his best to inform guests of the difficulties the fire brigade had in trying to locate the problem.

We booked this hotel as it allowed late cancellation. It is a basic hotel and is not cheap for what you get. We arrived with some trepidation after reading the bad reviews. Our room was ok with clean bedding and towels. The lack of shower gel and soap has continued. The carpets need a more powerful vacuum cleaner and the toilet needs timescale treatment. The fire alarm went off at around 10.30 pm so guests had to stand outside for two hours. This was awful for the young families carrying their children with nothing to sit on. The alarm was linked to four separate businesses which made it difficult for the firemen to locate the source of the problem.

great location and okay for a short visit but not a hotel i would recommend. didn’t think to check the reviews as i figured travelodges are all the same and have never been let down by one. however, the room and bathroom here was dirty, everything was quite dated, electrical outlet next to the bed didn’t work unless the lamp was switched on. i suggest spending an extra £20-£50 a night and just going for one of the nicer hotels in bath. on the plus side there are plenty of lovely cafes and restaurants nearby and it is only a very short walk to the attractions in the city

Great location within easy walking distance to the city centre to the bars and restaurants. However the first room we were given was Room 005 on the ground floor which was quite a depressing room which required a deep clean. The mattress topper had quite a lot of blood on it. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned and we did this ourselves. We complained about the blood at reception and were offered a second flood Room 205. Which was a disabled persons room which was very roomy however the shower didn’t work and mostly provided a cold or luke warm shower. There was no lid on the toilet seat and the hotel floors were generally dirty and appeared unvacumed. This was our first visit to a Travel Lodge and will be our last.
