Really enjoyed our visit here, just came across the place as travelling past and we wanted lunch. Couldn't get over the cheap prices on the extensive menu, really good value. Place was quite busy but the food didn't take long to come out. Lovely clean and bright restaurant inside, there's tables outside too to sit and eat.

A yummy breakfast with nice thick cut bacon and black pudding was delicious don’t like the ramekins for the beans and toms. It was a little chilly in the main room which made the breakfast not as hot as I would like. Lovely setting in the old station with chase water next door for a 3 mile walk/run too. Would have been 5 stars if plate/ room was hotter

The place was really cold inside. Lovely decor and surroundings, though. Self-service was a bit much with only 4 customers in there with 3 members of staff chatting. It really wouldn't have been an issue to bring 2 drinks or one breakfast over. I also had to ask where sauce, cutlery etc, was.

Lovely cafè, part of the steam train station. Right on the edge of Chase water - ideal as a starting point for breakfast/lunch/coffee before a walk around the lake - or park at the main site the other side of the lake & use as a half way point.
Parking is available in the station car park for customers.
Shop within the cafe - very focused on bath bombs…plus sweets, chutneys gifts etc.
Lots of treats & food to purchase for dogs.
Dogs allowed in the cafe.
Lovely hot food - good service.
…& if your lucky - the steam train will pass.

Railway not operational today but we had a lovely 3m walk around the lake and stopped at the Cafe on Chasewater Heaths Railway station. Cheerful service, double espresso coffee was superb(equal to French best) and the bacon & mushroom sandwich was great on white bread. Thank you ladies! 😊

Had some lovely poached eggs on toast followed by a bakewell slice. Both were lovely, only 4 stars because the toast was medium sliced bread rather than thick sliced. My friend had thick sliced bread for her sandwich. If I'd have been given or offered thick sliced bread then instead it would have 5 stars for food.

Service was great, you have to order at the til and then grab your cutlery etc. then sit down. You then wait for the buzzer to go off and collect your order. This was all fine without much bother.

The atmosphere was nice enough, next to the railway with the sun shining. The main down side of the atmosphere was the temperature. Doors were propped open which caused a bit of a draught, it wasn't freezing but the wrong side comfortable.
There were also tables in long rows which meant you were sat next to other people. It also meant that getting in and out to collect your food could prove annoying for you and others as you maneuver through the row.
There was also a group who came on with a large dog while we were there. The dog was loud and not very settled. It's not the owners fault but it was a bit off putting when you're trying to talk.

I'd recommend the food here, just make sure you take a jumper if you feel the cold 😉
