An absolutely superb afternoon tea! It definitely rivals South Lodges. The selection was different and delicious, vegetarian option was gorgeous, along with the usual fluffy scones and heavenly cakes. Cannot recommend enough!

UPDATE: spoke to the lovely owner today who apologised regarding rude staff on our previous visit. The food is really high quality and so good! The staff today were lovely and helpful.

(we have since tried to visit 3 times. Twice been told “full, sorry” and that was it…)

We visited for the first time on their 5th birthday, which was rather busy! So I’ve kept that in mind with this review…
The team were lovely!
I did have to go get my own menus and go in to order, as it felt like we’d been forgotten about outside (and I then had to go get cutlery after our food was brought out, as it was getting cold as the waitress didn’t come back out with cutlery as she said she would… BUT it was busy and clearly had been non stop)

The food was beautiful! A large portion of high quality ingredients which were so flavoursome!
I highly recommend going and will definitely go back.
Now, my review isn’t a criticism - it’s just to make them aware of not forgetting the guests outside. As I heard another table saying about how some things had been forgotten, or drinks were brought twice. It had clearly been a busy day. But the staff were lovely and we’ll go back to sample more of the menu.

Really lovely food, really lovely people, crazy busy (Saturday 11am) and as a result food takes quite a while to arrive; team were apologetic and helpful when asked, so all good. Sitting outside equally wonderful, in the shadow of the old Horsham Town Hall (now Bills!). Feta eggs yummy.

Update2025: had a (late!) lunch, initially sat outside which was wonderful aside from wasps keen on kid's coke(!), so when food arrived we migrated inside. The food is some of the best presented food we've eaten, and then its super tasty and super healthy.
Just under £20 per head (no alcohol), and we took some home! Staff brilliant and funny. Such a delight to "just be". Thank you.

Had my baby shower here yesterday afternoon. My sister organised afternoon tea for a reasonable group of people. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were warm, friendly and welcoming and were attentive bit not buzzing round us either, so hats off to them for getting the balance right. We all had a wonderful afternoon and will definitely be back soon!

Lovely cafe with amazing selections of sandwiches and toasties with delicious fillings/toppings and generous portion of sides. The outdoor seating was great in the sun. The staff were also super friendly. Didn’t grab a cake but they looked really tasty by the counter!

Came back for their afternoon tea (which you need to pre-book) which was a delightful surprise! It was a very nice modern twist to afternoon tea. The savoury samples from the menu were all so tasty! The scone was light and moist. There was also a handful of delicious cakes but you will definitely be very full by the time you get there!

Wonderful! I came for an afternoon tea with my mum and it really was exceptional. The afternoon tea was ready for us on arrival! The food was fresh, warm and tasted very lovely and even featured some of cafe no 4s best sellers for the savory section which made it different from many other afternoon teas. The staff as always were lovely and so friendly!

We come to cafe no 4 very often for brunch and the food is always excellent, full of fresh ingredients and with great portion sizes. Highly recommend cafe no 4 and it is one of the very best, if not, the best cafe in Horsham.
