Good food. Cooked well and fairly priced. There is a good selection from simple sandwiches to upmarket savouries. The hot and cold drinks selection is great. This is a regular spot for locals, dog lovers and grab-and-go folks alike.

Given the size, it is almost always busy inside but well worth sitting in if you vet the chance. On occasion where we have had delivery it has always been great, on time and hot.

The staff are really brilliant. They are warm, friendly and accommodating and do a lot to help the residents of the local community, which is great to see.

Cosy little coffee shop in Acomb and found ourselves here on the off chance.
Visited on a Sunday morning around 10:30 and the café was full which is good sign.

We only had coffee however what we could see from the food being served, it all look pretty good. Staff were friendly and not up for themselves which seems to be a common thread around some cafés in York unfortunately.

I was disappointed by the quality of the coffee; we had an espresso and a flat white and have tasted better. I’ve also tasted a lot worse.

Friendly staff and great food. While my wife and I were having a breakfast an old lady came in. The young lad helped her up the steps and when she left helped her out again. Try getting that service at the big franchises. Everyone needs to support these little local cafés!! Job well done to all at Ruby's!!

We had a lovely lunch here. My friend who is coeliac was catered for with kindess and understanding, nothing was too much trouble. I had the goats cheese and pesto flatbread which was huge and delicious! Highly recommend this gem in Acomb x

Beautiful cake and lovely coffee served by lovely people. Only down side the sun hits through the window which doesn't effect how much you can enjoy everything. Will be back again!!

Lovely little gem. We stumbled across Ruby's when we were out walking the dog and had a lovely impromptu lunch. I had a chai late and soda bread avocado toast which was delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and even dogs are allowed which is lovely. Will definitely be back.
