I had this hotel booked for months for a trip to the British Open Golf Tournament with my mum and 8 year old son. Literally 3 weeks prior to the trip they cancelled. Quite clearly so they could sell the room for a higher fee as there was so much desire for rooms for the golf. Absolutely disgusting behavior. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL -run by scum of the earth. Morals - Zero.

First impression was that the hotel was in the middle of some significant renovations. The bedrooms were all brand new, clean and warm. Beautifully decorated with new beds mattresses and bedding. We asked for extra pillows and had them within minutes. The staff were friendly and could not do enough for us. Towels provided but not hot drink facilities in the room but it was not a massive problem as coffee was readily available in the dining room.

Dirty sheets in first room, when I reported this at 9:40pm was asked 'why was I only reporting this now'. First room also had very harsh overhead lighting, only one bedside table and no bedside lamps. Felt like a cell. Given another room with clean sheets after complaining about the dirty sheets. Requested partial refund due to this and other issues but this was not given.
Hotel is in a run down industrial area with seemingly no shops/restaurants in walking distance on a main road, opposite a ?gasworks.
Numerous health and safety issues e.g. interior doors were flimsy not fire doors, no automatic lighting in case of fires in communal areas. One window wouldn't shut in the second room - first floor so would have posed a serious danger to any children staying there (was a double plus single room so very likely). Would have liked to report this when checking out but there was nobody on site to report to.
Very expensive at £109. Also had to pay £3.50 for parking - stated to be free on booking.com and not able to park on the road due to access requirements of the warehouses there.
There are multiple pictures of the bar /seating area on booking.com however this was not staffed and they are not offering breakfasts.
Total rip off, dirty and unsafe and would have gone home but for the fact that I needed to pick something up in the area the following day.

Dont know where to start! The location is abysmal, in the middle if an industrial estate with no other amenities around it, massive tankers right outside and huge lorries towing and frowing all day and night. Whilst we were there the dumpit site 2 blocks down the road (visible from our room) was set a fire, puthering smoke and 30ft high flames soaring above the rooftops, hense fire engines and police cars up and down the street. The road was cordoned off and we had to walk down the road to meet our taxi to take us out into to the centre. I approached the hotel Manager(bar manager perhaps not sure) to ask if we were safe as I was with my 7 year old grand daughter and daughter. He found it amusing and showed no concern as if it was normal, I understand it's a regular occurrence apoarently with youths setting the site a light. The hotel itself was poor, shabby. Our first room was full of flies and wreaked of smoke. We asked to move and was told the hotel has a problem with flies?. We was given a different room which was slightly better and probably deluxe to the standard of other rooms. No towels What 'Hotel' does not supply towels. The coffee cups were sticky obviously just rinsed out not washed and the bedsheet on the single bed was stained. Overall at £160 per night with no breakfast I am apauled. Dont stay here! It is not a Hotel it's a s**t hole and I am no hotel inspector.

A group of 18 of us visited the hotel and were far from impressed. We were falsely accused of smashing a window which when we asked for proof of the room number with a video leading in of the window it was suddenly ‘cracked previously’. We also had very temperamental hot water in majority of the rooms which didn’t work most of the time. Some guests also mentioned how their room had very low water pressure. The rooms all stunk of cigarettes that you had to have the windows open to try and get rid of the smell as it was revolting. There was ants visible on skirting boards. All the guests have complained of being itchy since with a few believing it to be bed bugs as they have visible bites on their skin. The doors are also tricky to lock and unlock resulting in you having to leave your doors unlocked majority of the time. The mug and teaspoons that were left for tea were also clearly unwashed as were still sticky and the spoons had tea on them. It is also In the middle of nowhere and there is lorries and loud noises all throughout the day and night. The whole experience was appalling and I was strongly advise everyone looking to stay here to go elsewhere!

Stayed here some time ago. A bit out of the way but was given the penthouse suite. The view wasn't the best but the room was great. Breakfast was good in the morning with the staff swapping the beans and tomatoes for extra sausage and bacon.
The staff were friendly, I would stay here again even though it is out of the way, they provide secure free parking.

It's very run down. It's up for sale so I guess no improvement will be made yet. The net curtains were all ripped. The window had silver tape all round it, which didn't seem to stop the draft or the road noise. Being a busy dock constant lorries going past. Not so many at night but when they do it sounds like they are in the room. The room is quite big. The mattress seemed very old. When I lay on it it went flat and you can feel the base of the bed. The heating was on and kept the room warm enough. The shower in the room has silver tape on the door. The towels were a bit hard, they were drying on the radiators in reception.
The lady on the desk seemed nice.
The hallways to the rooms seemed to be lacking light bulbs, so dark in places. They have their own car park. I guess for £50 it was ok. We would stay here again if we didn't have a room road side.

Upon first glance a decent looking hotel. Every glance that follows makes it worse though. I’m talking about cleaning in the obvious places, but far from thorough. Missing facilities. And industrial location at an hour walk of the city centre. Breakfast was... a slice of toast on the first day and no breakfast on the second. Hotel staff is unreachable and not present before 8. A factor that was also not very convenient when the fire alarm rang in the middle of the night. They staff tried to make the best of it though! Friendly people.
