Nice spot to stay for couple of days near city centre and seafront. |The staff is nice as well, quiet place. |Unfortunately, the bed was bit uncomfortable and the bathroom was shared and was really small.

We recently stayed here for one night to extend our week away by a day. We saw this place online and thought it looked nice. The room was lovely and well decorated and had everything you could need for a night away. The staff were nice. Can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't have it. Parking was terrible. We knew parking was limited however it was very bad. Nowhere free to park close to guest house and then had to pay to stay near the guest house down a side road. apart from the parking we enjoyed our stay.

Just a one nights stay.
Cheap b&b so wasn't expecting much but very pleasantly surprised. Very nice family. Room was good too. King sized comfortable bed and big tv too
Plenty of tea and coffee not just your one t bag like some Do.
Also dog friendly too.
Good choice of breakfast in the morning too from cornflakes to a full English.

The only downside we found was that there was no parking and it's a permit parking area. Luckily we had a blue badge and parked on double yellows.

But all in all an enjoyable stay and we will return. Very good value for money.

Been coming here for 12 years, Sue the proprietor was fantastic and gave excellent service and was always a pleasure to stay there New owners this year as sue has retired. We were assured that we would get the same treatment as we usually got. No-one was there on our arrival. A woman walked up street and said she was the new owner and immediately asked for £10 to park our car. Once inside she demanded full cost of stay. We said that usually we pay on leaving and had not got any cash till we had been to the bank. My husband had gone upstairs with the bags so I told her I would speak to him upstairs. She came up half hour later asking if he was getting the money from the bank. I said not at the moment as he'd had a long drive. She left and returned 5mins later saying that her husband wanted payment in full now and went back downstairs. She returned shortly so I told her we would only be stopping overnight at which she demanded the cash for the one night. So when she left the room we packed up and left. Absolutely disgusting. Ruined our wedding anniversary treat.

Stayed here in mid September with my brother in law. My brother in law has some mobility issues and the staff were excellent in facilitating all his needs. Wen and her family are very friendly, you get an excellent full English, plus other options. Big portion and all well cooked. Hotel is clean. Location is perfect, 5 mins from Town Centre and Seafront. All in all, a really pleasant stay, and would definitely stay again.

The owner is lovely and very friendly but even though we are dog lovers and this is a dog friendly place, it really wasn't to our taste. Completely over the top with the dog themed rooms. She encouraged us to allow our large dog to get up on the small single bed that was in the family room and I presume a child would sleep in. But our dog does not sleep on beds and I didn't want to encourage that. The room was so small with all the furniture that we had to walk sideways between the end of the bed and the wardrobe and every time our dog did the same she would leave hair all along the bottom of the bed. We found that the room was already covered in dog hair and not from our dog. Cobwebs were aplenty too. There was no sink in the ensuite bathroom as it was too small so you had to wash your hands in the bedroom. We had a room on the second floor which meant our dog had to go up 3 flights of stairs to the room which seemed unnecessary and impractical. The last flight was extremely steep even for us let alone the dog. Our double bed was 2 large singles pushed together which I didn't like either. Apart from being far too big for the room, we couldn't really cuddle up because of the gap between the beds! Parking was also a bit of a nightmare. Owner gave us a street permit but even with that there is nowhere to park and certainly not outside the premises. Breakfast was nice. No complaints. Even a sausage for the dog. But we didn't enjoy our stay the first night so made our excuses the next day and despite having paid for the following night, we left! Sorry but won't be returning.

Really friendly staff and a lovely room. Only issue is the heating was kept on full blast CONSTANTLY so didn't actually have the best nights sleep but aside from that the location is perfect and the price is reasonable. Would recommend, especially if you're someone who gets cold easily! 🙂
