Where do we start...

It only feels right that we start by giving a massive thank you to Penny, who without her kindness, patience, passion and tireless work-rate, this venue wouldn't be half as magical as it truly is.

Located in a stunning part of Perthshire, Wed in a Shed makes for the perfect location for the most beautiful wedding both big or small. We decided we wanted to be able to tailor every part of our day to our own taste, and the venue lends itself to bespoke events.

Penny was with us every step of the way ensuring we had everything we needed and that we were considering every eventuality.

Wed in a Shed is surrounded by picturesque scenery that have made for the most perfect wedding pictures which includes a lovely pond located on site. The track just off the grounds led us to even more wonderful locations for pictures.

We decided to have our ceremony on location, making use of the ceremony room for our 85 guests. The room made for the best ceremony. Our wedding took place on a stunning day in May where the sun shone for the majority of the day, but the ceremony room was a perfect temperature for both our guests and the various equipment our musicians needed to use.

The garden space outside of the venue was perfect for our lawn games and allowed guests to mingle and have drinks whilst taking in the views.

The main barn room is very spacious and was decorated in the most tasteful way that also allowed us to add our own ideas where we wanted to. Penny offered various extra items that allowed us to make the room look as good as possible on the day including the dresser where we were able to place photos and other items that meant the world to us.

Penny was able to offer us recommended vendors for those we got a little bit stuck with, and both her recommendations and even those who had never worked at the venue before commented on both how stunning Wed in a Shed is as well as how easy Penny is to work with.

We could go on as there are so many things we love about Wed in a Shed, but we would definitely recommend Wed in a Shed to anyone looking to host a wedding or event!

Penny who owns 'Wed In A Shed' is incredible and was an absolute dream to work with throughout our whole wedding process. We were greeted by warmth and kindness right from our very first meeting, putting us at ease knowing we'd made the right decision. She was always on hand to offer advice or insight and a huge help on the day with the whole organisation.

The venue is situated on the outskirts of Auchterarder, displaying stunning views of the hills and countryside. The farm is impeccably kept, and has a real charm about it. The barn was a fantastic size and space for our 96 guests with many stating that they were blown away by the venue and it's natural beauty.

We honestly couldn't recommend Wed In A Shed' any more! It's a must book if you're after that unique, personal feeling wedding. Penny is a superstar and will always go the extra mile to make sure you have the best day!

I had the pleasure of being Kara & Gary's wedding photographer this month (Oct '21). Wed in a Shed is a new wedding venue set in the beautiful Perthshire countryside. The venue is well located. There looks like there are so many possibilities for couples who are looking for an exciting new venue, with lots of options to personalise the space to create a wedding that is unique and special to them. With options on how you use the indoor space as well as lovely outdoor spaces and stunning views over fields and distant hills. We even managed to get some beautiful golden light as the sun set.

Her genuine care for our vision was apparent throughout the planning process. We are incredibly grateful for her exceptional services and the beautiful memories we created at Wed In A Shed. It was a dream come true and we couldn't have asked for a more magical setting for our special day.

Really impressive venue. It's a good size with space outside for guests to mingle. Only issue that stops it getting 5 stars is the unmade road that is very bumpy.

We got married at this beautiful venue on the 26th August 2023 and it was perfect. We managed to get married outside and the rain held off for us, the scenery is gorgeous and picturesque. Penny who owns the venue was extremely accommodating and flexible, she worked with us on the run up to the day and during it. Nothing was too big or small for her. Whatever suggestions we came up with she was able to accommodate.
We got married just beside the duck pond and the greenery and flowers were just fantastic, coming down the aisle through the trees was amazing. Our wedding was the perfect balance of formal but having a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend this venue!

Attended the most amazing wedding @ Wed in the shed! The location is stunning, with the most picturesque outdoor location to say your vows and beautiful indoor space if weather in Scotland isn’t on your side. The shed is a stunning space to create your own magic for your special day. Would highly recommend to those who like a host that is truly special and will help and guide you in every possible way. My husband and I chose Wed in a Shed as our wedding venue because we wanted somewhere that we could put our own stamp on. Penny was so supportive on the run up to our wedding and was very accommodating on the lead up as we visited with different people to sort out all the finer details.

I love that this venue is like no other wedding setting I've been to. The surrounding scenery is simply stunning - our photographer was so excited by all the different photos opportunities! The barn setting itself has a real rustic vibe to it with the intimate ceremony hall being a lovely touch.

We hired in outside caterers and they set up easily and the food ran without a hitch. We also hired a 'posh loo' unit which again was hassle free.

So many of our guests commented on what a lovely setting it was and what a relaxed feel the place had to it. We chose October to get married so as you can imagine the weather was on the chilly side when outside - it's worth telling guests to bring warm layers if you plan to be outside for any length of time.

I decided to bring some boots with me and I'm so glad I did because it allowed us to walk around the woods and fields and get some cracking photos (this would've been a nightmare in heels..). So worth it!
